The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in healthcare IT project management, particularly with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or GE Centricity. A strong understanding of radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) is essential.
Clinical Project Manager
8 Month Project
$85.00/hr payrate, full time 40 hour work weeks with option of overtime
Hybrid onsite 2 days a week in Cherry Hill, NJ
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation:
- Develop detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation for the Epic Radiant implementation.
- Identify and engage key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including IT professionals, radiology staff, and external vendors, to execute project tasks effectively.
- Assign responsibilities, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, department leadership, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and any issues.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to communicate progress and gather feedback.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Resolve project-related issues promptly, escalating to senior management when necessary.
- Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Oversee the development and execution of testing plans to ensure the Epic Radiant system meets all functional and technical requirements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards throughout the implementation process.
- Training and Support:
- Coordinate training programs for end-users to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
- Provide post-implementation support to address any challenges and optimize system utilization.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in healthcare IT, with a focus on implementing EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or GE Centricity.
- Proven experience managing full lifecycle implementations of radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
- Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- Epic Radiant certification is preferred; candidates without certification must obtain it within 6 months of hire.
